Transportation meeting to look at local needs

FRANKLIN COUNTY: Not since the oil embargo in the 1970s has the United
States seen the price of gasoline jump as quickly as it has in recent
months. This increase is especially hard for those who commute out of
town for work.
Krista Chadwick, Public Transit Assistant Administrator at the Vermont
Agency of Transportation (VAoT), is hoping that an upcoming
transportation forum held in St. Albans will address the needs of people
in this region who are using public transportation, or who wish to
utilize such services.
“These public meetings are tied into Short Range Public Transportation
Plans, which are updated every five years,” said Chadwick.
There will be 13 regional meetings held throughout the state in the next
few weeks.
